Wooden Textiles is a special material created by Berlin-based designer Elisa Strozyk. The material is half wood, half textile, existing between hard and soft, and challenging what we've come to expect from a material or category. It looks and smells familiar, but feels strange, as it is can move and form in unexpected ways. For every piece in this collection, Strozyk dyes the wood using a special technique that emphasizes the naturally grown structure of the wood. Each unique textile is composed of dyed maple or bubinga wood and cotton textile.
