Marimekko's Iso Unikko cotton sateen fabric features the iconic flower pattern designed by Maija Isola. Isola did not accept these rules and restrictions without a fight and, in protest, ended up designing an entire collection of bold floral patterns. One of these designs was Unikko – which quickly became a favorite of Ratia, too. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known and most beloved patterns worldwide.
