This multi-disciplinary artist is featured in the MoMA exhibition Woven Histories: Textiles and Modern Abstraction, on view April 20 through September 13, 2025. Made from water-resistant recycled polyester taffeta that’s Green Circle®-certified, each one is printed with a reproduction of a collage by Gibson which references two artworks, THE FUTURE IS PRESENT (2019) and IF I RULED THE WORLD (2019), which are represented in MoMA's collection. Gibson works meld Indigenous and Western influences to form a hybridity of aesthetics. This lightweight bag is especially suited for trips to the supermarket—it can hold up to 44 lbs—and folds into a small zippered pouch.
