Offered is a hand-painted and burnished glaze vintage late 1950s, or early 1960s owl figurine made in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s. This owl measures approximately 3.75" W x 2.75" D x 4.5" H and is created with predominantly earth-tones - a tan background and decorated in black and brown, depicting the flower native to the region on the rear. There is no label or maker's mark.
