A pair of 19th century cast iron female figures holding pestle and mortar. A lovely pair of figures, they are very heavy each of the figures is holding a mortar, one with a pestle and the other with none, they may have come from an apothecary sign. The detail of the casing is very fine and the condition of the figures is good. Each figure is 21” tall, 5” wide and 4” deep.
