Mid 19th century Staffordshire pottery King Charles spaniel dogs modeled in the traditional seated form with expressive faces and hand-painted decoration. Numbered "4" to the underside, indicating size within early Staffordshire production, with lower numbers representing larger examples. Numbered pairs are particularly sought after by collectors. Very Good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. As with most early Staffordshire, there is no maker's mark.
