Black marble carved figure. Antique stone cut by hand and fully carved figure of the seated Buddha. The entire figure is finely covered in small tooling marks and the fine grain of the stone. The figure sits in form with snail-curled hair over a very detailed carving of the facial details of eyes and lips. Beautifully cut details of drapery and folds. The measurements are 8" tall and 5" wide by 3.5" deep. Solid heavy black granite/marble.
