Very rare goldscheider art deco ceramic figure of the 1920's: representation of a young variety dancer in pose. She wears a short, low-cut, blue ruffled dress, the skirt ends of which she holds up on both sides and curtsies. The young lady is based on a big drum and is supported from behind by a saxophone and a tambourine, artist's signature 'lorenzl' on the back above. Designed by josef lorenzl (1892-1950), one of the most important designers who worked for the goldscheider manufactory in the period of 1920-1940. This model 5573 was created circa 1926.
