Art Brut figure of the sorceress Circe surrounded by swine. Modeled in red stoneware clay, red brick clay the small figure is a study in volume and symbolic content. Grainy ,gritty surface texture with a glossy deep blue glaze. The tall massive Circe calls the swine like pets and the deep blue glaze casts a somber and mystical tone.
