Chinese DeHua porcelain seated Buddha on a lotus throne, a finely carved and detailed seated Buddha in padmasana, supported by four ornate, lotus buds, quartered around a culumn of stylized scarabs, atop a circular plinth decorated with stylized lingzhi. The Buddha's right and left hand are in Karana mudra, his left hand also holding a lotus flower. He is clothed in a flowing robe with a necklace and the crown of Amitabha, wrist bracelets and he displays the urna and ushnisha and long earlobes. Exquisite fine realistic detail through out, down to The Buddha's fingernails. A He Chaozong and DeHua mark are incised on the back, just above the throne. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese hongmu stand is included. Circa late 19th century, no later than early 20th. Buddha: 19.5" high x 8" wide x 8" deep stand: 3" high x 21.5" wide x 13" deep
