A pair of whimsical ceramic figures by Argentinian/Israeli artist, Edith Adi. Edith Adi is known for her hand built style and indeed each figure is expertly formed with detailed hairdos and rosy cheeks. The whimsical look is reminiscent of Danish artist and ceramicist, Bjorn Wiinblad. Both figures are in beautiful shades of blue, green and yellow with earth tone and creamy white backgrounds. Each figure is signed or hallmarked at the base. Both figures are in good condition though there are flaws to the hair. The taller figure shows damage to curls both at the back and front as shown in photographs 7 and 8. The smaller figure shows damage to hair in front as shown in photograph 10. The flaws are somewhat camouflaged by the unique details of the pieces. The taller sculpture measures 16.25" tall x 7.25" at the widest point x 4" deep. The smaller sculpture measures 7.5" tall x 3.5" wide x 2.75" deep.
