Figures Bench

The Figures Bench is a 7-foot bench with a 16” deep seat and 16” height. The default top and base are burnt ash but can be optioned out at additional cost.The piece comes from the FIGURES collection which can be easily identified by its visually simple profile and deeply textured surfaces. Each piece is an assembly of three slabs, two legs, and a top. On approach, the depth and movement of the piece gradually come into focus. Through a manual process of burning and brushing, the distinctive movement found in the figure of the wood is made prominent. Elaborate designs are deliberately avoided allowing the textures to take a primary focus. The tactile surfaces invite exploration through touch, offering users not only a functional work but an interactive and sensory connection with the material itself.
