The wooden hippo is one of the members of the animal family, designed by Kay Bojesen. Originally created in 1955, the beechwood hippo – known for its wide, smiling mouth and friendly appearance – also decorated the designer’s own desk. This small Hippo Lilliput, released in 2025, celebrates the 70th anniversary of the lovable hippopotamus and is available for a limited time only. Kay Bojesen's wooden animals are designed with love, imagination and intelligence.
