Its main dvāravatī cities included u thong, nakhon pathom, phong tuk, si thep, khu bua, and si mahosot. The style is inspired by the gupta and post-gupta art of india, particularly in the modeling of the bodies and faces. This style reflects the physical characteristics of the mon people, with broad faces and noses, full lips, and often joined eyebrows.
