A classical and commanding Napoléon Bonaparte bust, after the celebrated original by Antoine-Denis Chaudet (1763–1810). Chaudet served as an official portrait sculptor to Napoleon, and his idealized neoclassical likeness—created ca. 1804—became the definitive Imperial portrait used throughout the Empire period. This example is a museum-authorized reproduction with the SÈVRES impressed mark at front lower right and a Louvre / Réunion des Musées Nationaux (RMN) casting atelier stamp on the verso, indicating that this piece was produced using molds taken from the original in the French national collections. Executed in white plaster with crisp detail—the swept hair, youthful profile, and smooth neoclassical planes remain sharp and expressive. The bust is signed Chaudet on the left shoulder in the mold, as on historical examples. The bust is mounted on a dramatic black geometric plinth—a modernist Greek-key inspired base that elevates and gives presence, making the work read beautifully in today’s interiors. Dimensions Approx. 13.5” H x 6” W x 6” D (including base)
