Antique French Bust of Pharaoh. A fine Egyptian Revival period ceramic figure of the fiaence being discovered in Egypt. Carved in the style of the Old Kingdom with thick volume and wide features. The glaze is mottled blues and tones of rust yellow to suggest a good amount of age. The maker is a studio from France with a stamp on the bottom impressed into the wet clay. The walls are thick and the interior is finger-pressed into the form. Likely, this was created to be seen outside in the Garden or Park. The measurements are 8.75" tall and 8.5" by 5.25".
