A large Regency period antique Irish fireplace in Kilkenny marble. Usually referred to as the "Dublin Corbel" as they were typically used there during that period. The pilaster jambs with moulded panels, matching brackets supporting the mantel and inverted inner slips. The frieze with reeded moulding to underneath and a centre plaque with simple fielded design. All beneath a generous shelf with shaped edges. One of two Chimney pieces removed from the same property in Dublin making a very near pair. Irish Circa 1830 Opening Sizes 102cm H x 94.5cm W.
