A large polished steel fire dog crate in the Georgian manner by the Carron foundry in Scotland. The tapered front legs surmounted by beaded edging and finial topped urns. Plain Beaded wings flank a bowed bar burning area, with a cut guilloche fretwork again with a beaded edge. A large plain cast iron fireback. Very good quality piece from a renowned manufacturer of the period, late 19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
