Skyscraper streamline Moderne 1930s-1940s polished chrome andirons by Donald Deskey from a Palm Beach estate. These are remarkable examples of the Deskey design sense, the main weight is at the base of the "skyscrapers" and the iron log carriers extending behind are low and subtle. See Photos for the following. Note: There are scratches on the underside of each base. Note: There is oxidation and minor rust spots on the backside of the pieces where the rods meet the bases. Note: There is some surface wear and small rust spots on the black iron braces.
