Aldo Tura Mid-Century Modern Italian lamp is an original design lamp realized by Aldo Tura in the 1950s. A unique carved wooden floor lamp with parchment lampshade. The lamp has a wooden shelf with ashtray. Aldo Tura (1909-1963), the "master of the parchment", was a famous Italian designer. His name is linked to the splendid mid-century tables and lamps, where he combined elements from Art Déco and Art Nouveau with a minimalist and personal design. He often used unusual materials such as parchment, eggshell, goatskin and even wheels. His works are synonymous with classic and timeless design, first-rate craftsmanship and furniture with a unique character. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
