Rare minimalist floor lamp model 1086 designed by gino sarfatti and manufactured by arteluce, milano 1961. This is the floor lamp version of a series of lights that sarfatti designed in 1961, re using the shade into different versions of these series. This lamp exists in this floor lamp, a table lamp and wall lamps. We have the other models available as well in another listing. The lamp has a tulip shaped cast iron base which also provides the weight for the stability of this lamp, it has the characteristic crackle paint where sarfatti’s designs were known for. The smooth finished shade is a nice contrast with the rough finished base. The lamp shade can be pointed in different positions for different functions, it tilts and rotates. The lamp is in very good original condition. The lamp uses an e14 bulb up to 60 watts. Still has its original bulb included, not sure how long this will still last. Also, possible to use with led. We have this lamp available in black as well, that one you can find in another listing as well as the table and wall lamps of this model. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the usa.
