Aj Floor Lamp

Copenhagen native Arne Jacobsen was among the first to introduce modern furniture to Denmark. He created his AJ Floor Lamp (1960) to echo the oblique angles of his Series 3300 furniture, which included the Egg Chair and Swan Chair. To maximize its functionality, Jacobsen fitted it with a shade that tilts up or down. This lamp was designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, for which Jacobsen designed every element.
