Special Anglepoise floor lamp by Hala and Herbert Terry & Sons Limited, 1950s. The Anglepoise lamp is a design by the English company Herbert Terry & Sons Limited. All lamps with this special hinge system “the Anglepoise arm is based on the muscles in the hip” are led from this company. Hala first sold Herbert Terry Anglepoise lamps under license (see photo catalogue Hala). Later, Hala started making the Anglepoise lamps itself. This lamp is special because it concerns a lamp that was partly made by Herbert Terry & Sons Limited and partly by Hala. The condition is still good with clear signs of wear on the paint (see photos). Dimensions adjustable: h x diameter (foot) = 105 -194 x 47 cm.
