Extendable arched floor lamp designed by renowned Italian designer Goffredo Reggiani for his company Reggiani between the late 1960s and 1970s. The wide, curved arm in gold-plated anodized aluminum extends to a depth of 150 to 180 cm. The solid, heavy circular base in travertine stone is designed to counterbalance the protruding arch. The extended arm allows the lamp to reach a variable height from 150 to 215 cm. The adjustable dome diffuser in opal white acrylic glass is typical of the Space Age style of the period. All in very good condition, with the electrical system tested and fully functional. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
