Vintage; C.1960s, Mid-Century, an original Laurel Lamp Company, adjustable brass floor lamp. This unique and weighted brass floor lamp is supported on a square base; with a lower half, vertical post and beem-like, or t-bone neck or stem, this t-bbone or bar end, has a tubular center attached to the end at center, whereupon an additional stem, interloped within this tubular portion, can be lowered or raised for incremental height adjustments which can be made with this slide trombone style capability made simple. The wiring is all original and in excellent condition, and has a medical or industrial level and quality. The upper portion harp is a rectangular shape with an off white rubber like or hard material overlay finish, one assumes industrial as well, but unique onto itself. That "t-bone section is also a perfect place in which to handle, and move the floor lamp to and fro, as well as hold steady, while positioning to raise the adjacent portion of neck or stem up and/or down, lowered or raised. The base was the "only" portion, that was professionally, re-plated, while the entire floor lamp has also been professionally polished and lacquer sealed. In great condition considering the age, use and wear, but a little TLC given to enhance the quality, and give new life to this seminal floor lamp, from a well-established, and revered lamp and lighting manufacturer from the Mid-Century era of Design. Lamp Height Fully Lowered: 43.50"H. Lamp Height Fully Extended: 66"H. Lamp Height Mid-Level: 53-54"H". Lamp will ship at the LOWEST HEIGHT DIMENSION Aforementioned above, alone unless shade is included, and shipping appropriated for that. Shade NOT Included, "only" utilized to showcase size capability and shape. We have the ORIGINAL shade and may be included. The top wired frame portion, where the harp fits into, has the Laurel Lamp Company engraved within, but as stated the shade is aged, as to be expected and indicative to period. You may inquire within, if need an image of the shade and the provenance maker's markings.
