Minimalist black counterbalance floor lamp by Sölken with a double arm and two counterweights. It is super flexible, adjustable to almost 180 degrees. The halogen light source is attached to a long arm holding a round disk counter weight. This gives the lamps optimize use. The arms sits on an vertical stand. The stand is weighted on a brass hemisphere keeping the lamp well balanced on the ground. The lamp is made by Sölken Leuchten, Germany circa 1970. They make excellent reading lights or spot lights and are very versatile. The light source is halogen, now avaiable as LED and ready for immediate use. Height varies from 150 - 110 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
