Imposing and organic, this floor lamp evokes the ceramic adventure of West Germany in the 1970s. Its stoneware body takes the form of a squat, wide-bellied vase. What immediately catches the eye is the smooth, foam-like glaze, so characteristic of the Fat Lava style. It's raw, vibrant, almost mineral, and incredibly seductive. The overall effect is a brutalist yet warm aesthetic, very typical of this West German ceramic movement. The lamp base is in good condition, and the wiring has been checked and is functional.
