Amazing sculptural mid-century modern floor lamp by the Italian designer Angelo Brotto from the 50s. This floor lamp consists of black steel with brass elements, a white lamp shade with lovely geometric coloured patterns and a white grey marble base. The pattern of the shade are in the typical mid-century modern colours black, red, blue and yellow. The lamp has three E27 sockets. Angelo Brotto (1914-2002), graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1941. The same year, he received a major order from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make frescoes in Montenegro. He participates in numerous Biennales and his creations are quickly celebrated by many exhibitions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
