Giustino Floor Lamp

The Giustino Floor Lamp by Varaluz, elegantly merges modernity with early 1900s Art Deco influences. Designed by Ron Henderson in 2023, in collaboration with the Smithsonian Libraries' Special Collections, the lamp is crafted from recycled steel, featuring a stepped construction ascending from a circular base, with a telescoping body that narrows as it rises to support a flared, conical shade housing the lamping. This design draws inspiration from bold Art Deco motifs, reflected in the lamp's three-layered base. Named after the Vivaldi opera "Il Giustino," the design echoes the opera's three-act structure, offering a timeless blend of contemporary style and historical and artistic significance.
