Anchored by a petit charcoal-tinted cast-concrete base, its supremely slender, lacquered black-bamboo column balances a hand-painted, woven-grass conical shade in glossy green lacquer with contrasting pale-green interior. Unlacquered brass hardware, a brown acrylic cloth-covered cord, and water-resistant Achille Castiglioni-designed on/off inline foot switch complete the modernist profile.
