A bold geometrical shape meets a knitted material that’s as cozy as a favorite sweater in Knit-Wit’s floor lamp. The glowing ball of light held aloft on a trio of thin metal legs recalls traditional Chinese paper shades. With the yarn’s open texture, the lampshade both hides and reveals the source of light at its center. “We challenged the barriers of technology,” say design duo Iskos-Berlin, “and came up with something completely new.”
