Iskos Berlin referenced traditional knitting techniques in the design, but this floor lamp comes to life thanks to cutting-edge manufacturing methods. The spherical shade is made with a CNC machine that creates the 3D knitted mesh fabric with great precision, eliminating waste. This technique also allows the creation of clean, perfectly shaped forms, letting the texture of the material shin through. Once the light is turned on, the Knit-Wit floor lamp transforms completely. The light bulb becomes visible, along with the intricate pattern of the finely knitted yarns. Designed with convenience in mind, the Made by Hand Knit-Wit Medium Floor Lamp 60 comes with a three-legged steel base and a foot switch on a fabric-covered cord.
