Laser Floor Lamp By Max Baguara For Lamperti, 1980

Chairish

$1,139

with its clear, architectural design language, the "Laser" floor lamp by Lamperti embodies the elegance and innovative spirit of Italian design from the late 1970s and 1980s. Designed by Italian designer Max Baguara for the lighting manufacturer Lamperti, this iconic model combines geometric rigor with exceptional lightness and is now considered one of the most sought-after designs of Italian postmodernism. Characteristic of the "Laser" is its tall, solid glass body, framed by a delicate metal structure. The transparent glass stem appears almost to float, creating a striking contrast to the black lacquered metal base and the hemispherical uplighter shade. When switched on, the lamp produces an impressive lighting effect: the light is gently emitted upwards and simultaneously reflected by the glass body, creating an elegant, atmospheric ambiance. The lamp offered here is in very good vintage condition. The glass shows only minimal signs of wear consistent with its age, which do not detract from its overall high-quality appearance. The black lacquered metal parts are well-maintained and retain their original finish. The integrated dimmer functions perfectly and allows for stepless adjustment of the light intensity – from atmospheric accent lighting to powerful indirect room illumination.
