This rare austrian midcentury height adjustable brass floor lamp model 'pelikan' (engl. 'pelican') no. 2097 was designed and manufactured by j.t. Kalmar vienna. The light is documented in the kalmar catalogue from 1960. It is made of a black lacquered iron stand and a black cast iron base. A brass arm can be positioned in six different heights from 4.3 ft. (130 cm) to 5.9 ft. (180 cm). A handle on the stand is made of a white plastic string wrapping. The light has one socket for a medium or standard screw base bulb. The lamp shade has been renewed on base of the original one with a light beige silk. The lamp is in very good condition with little patina on brass and ready to use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, european plug (up to 250v).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
