A rare austrian mid-century floor lamp from j.t. Kalmar, manufactured around 1960. It features a tripod iron base at the bottom and a iron ring at the top. The original woven wicker cane shade had some missing pieces , do to the rarity of the lamp, we had a professional restorer replace the missing cane. Personally i find the contrasting stripe give the shade more visual energy and brings out the form more. If you like you may colour the cane to match the rest of the shade. Both switches function, the one at the bottom allowed for adapting different cable lengths. The electric has been controlled. Shade size: d. 24 cm x h. 56 cm from the floor to the bottom of the shade is: h 42 cm this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
