An elegant floor lamp by the Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup, designed by Jo Hammerborg in the 1960s. A timeless design with a distinctive materiality. The lamp features a classic floor lamp shape with a saucer base, stem, and a simple shade. The stem is elegantly finished in black leather. The shade is covered with a coarsely textured textile material and has a round diffuser on top to reduce upward light emission. Removing the diffuser allows more ambient light to pass through. The switch is located inside the lamp socket. The heavy, saucer base is made of cast iron and has integrated feet to create a shadow gap, elevating it from the floor. An aluminum cover serves as a diffuser for the top of the lamp. The lamp is in very good condition with some signs of wear on the base and a patina. It has been professionally rewired.
