A timeless mid century classic, this is a mushroom lamp designed in LA by Bill Curry for the Laurel Lamp Company. This nickel floor lamp features a mouth blown frosted glass globe set upon a slim stem with a heavy tapered base. These beauties are real show stoppers. Curry's signature Stemlite Floor Lamp was selected by the US Department of Commerce to represent America in exhibitions abroad during the 1960s and remains an iconic symbol of 1960s California modernism. Newly rewired to match the original wiring (necessary thanks to a puppy's redecorating skillz). It's ready to install and use. Easy peasy. Emits a warm, ambient glow. On/Off 3 way rotary switch for adaptive lighting needs. The customary label was on the bulb guard when I took it to a lighting shop to be rewired. It looks like they threw it away! My mistake as I didn't specifically ask them to retain it. Lesson learned. So, unfortunately, this lamp doesn't retain it's original label. I've included detail photos of the bottom of the lamp so that you can see the manufacturing suits the age. The shade is 13" in diameter the base is 10" in diameter. 43" tall.
