A dramatic and sculptural vintage hammered brass pedestal lamp with unmistakable Ottoman revival influence. Originally crafted as a decorative brass vessel, this piece was later converted into a floor lamp during the mid-century period, a common practice in Hollywood Regency and Mediterranean revival interiors. Standing approximately 46" tall to the top of the brass, this monumental piece features hand-worked repoussé floral and arabesque detailing across both the column and domed base. The wide flared bowl top is accented with dual ring handles — a detail reminiscent of early 20th-century Middle Eastern ceremonial vessels. The lamp is currently in working condition and works with a 3-switch bulb. The base is very well weighted, and it sits flat, so there is no concern for wobbles or knocking this piece over. The surface retains its original aged patina, with some deepened tones in the recessed motifs that beautifully emphasize the hand-hammered craftsmanship. We have intentionally only lightly cleaned up the brass to preserve the finish rather than over-polishing, allowing the character and history of the piece to remain intact.
