An exciting collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, the Pao Floor Lamp is named after the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents. By keeping the aesthetics modest and simple, Fukasawa creates a beautiful everyday object that is in harmony with its environment. The Pao Floor Lamp comprises a weighted steel base and slim stand, with the distinctive shade in steel with a high-gloss finish in different colours. Designed for using with two replaceable standard retrofit LED bulbs and featuring an on/off floor switch, it provides a flexible output of light with a warm, homely glow. His designs span a wide variety of fields, from precision electronic equipment to furniture and interior spaces. Fukasawa is the curator of The Japan Folk Crafts Museum, professor in the Integrated Design Department at Tama Art University, and one of the directors of 21_21 Design Sight.
