The Parola Floor Lamp from FontanaArte applies the same material thinking as the table version to a standing format. Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni designed it in 1980, working across blown glass, natural glass, and natural crystal to produce a lamp that sits at the intersection of craft and industrial production. The diffuser is a glossy, coloured blown-glass paste, supported by a borosilicate glass frame with a chromed metal base connection and a transparent, bevelled glass base beneath. Dimming is controlled through a sliding switch on the braided fabric cable.
