This Postmodern floor lamp was produced in Italy in 1970. It features a tall stem lacquered with a mustard/ocher color. The stem is showing similarities to a 'Skyscraper' with edgy tapered elements, leading to an opaline glass shade that diffuses the light. The glass shade is designed to evenly distribute light, creating a soft illumination. The lamp stands on a stable base, ensuring its support. The design reflects the Postmodern style of the time, which incorporates bold and functional elements. This floor lamp was made to function as both a light source and a decorative item within a space. The overall design emphasizes practicality, with an aesthetic that aligns with the 1970s Italian Postmodern movement. Condition The base of the floor lamp is showing a few dents and some stains in the lacquer. The lacquer of the stem shows signs of age and use, which is in line with the age of the floor lamp.
