Rare LZ17 n.4 Floor Lamp by Cedric Hartman for Jack Lenor Larsen, 1966This is an early production of the beautiful modernist floor lamp designed by Cedric Hartman in 1966 for Jack Lenor Larsen and produced by Pandora in Kirchberg, Switzerland.A minimalist icon of mid-century design, it features a gracefully curved chromed steel stem, a tent-shaped shade, and a solid rectangular brass base that serves as a counterweight—allowing for adjustable height and positioning. The height of the lamp can be adjusted by sliding the two parts of the stems in and out. (85cm - 125cm)The base is stamped: “Cedric Hartman, Made in Switzerland for Jack Lenor Larsen Inc., Serial No. 4.”The lamp has developed a beautiful natural patina. This has not been polished in accordance with the wishes of the designer. Minimal cosmetic wear, appropriate to age and use.
