This is the iconic 'Globe 2000' floor lamp that was designed in the 1960s by Frank Ligtelijn for RAAK Amsterdam. This is an original version. The lamp features an adjustable telescopic body on a triennial stand. The glass sphere with lamp insert sits freely atop the body in a chrome metal cradle, enabling the light to be positioned in almost any direction and orientation. This is truly a wonderful space-age design piece. The lamp works as it should and is in very good overall condition. No damage to the glass sphere, only minor patina to the metal parts. The chrome is nice and shiny. It measures about 13" x 13" at the base. The glass globe is about "10 x 10". The stand can be adjusted to as ow as around 44" to as high as about 60". The lightbulb is for demonstration purposes and is not included.
