A handmade and hammered copper floor lamp from the early 20th century. The foot of the lamp is an artwork on it self. It has a floral appearance and looks like the backside of a sunflower. The diameter of the lampfoot is ± 45 cm. The lamp pole/stand is the flower stem. The lampshade is made of thick bleached hard leather parts. All parts are stitched together with a raw leather lace. A unique example of high craftsmanship from, most likely, swedish origin. This kind of craftsmanship with floral copper hammering was of great influence in the applied art of the amsterdamse school. All together: a marvelous floor lamp.
