A Danish oak brutalist floor lamp, 1960s–1970s. The stem is a square-section oak column carved with repeating recessed oval slot details running the full height — a strong, rhythmic detail that reads well from a distance. The base is where the craftsmanship becomes particularly apparent: the stepped square foot has been hand-worked with an adze or gouge, leaving a raw, undulating surface texture across the oak. This adzed finish catches the light beautifully and gives the piece a deeply tactile, organic quality that is very much in the tradition of Danish brutalist woodwork. The carving style and material sit comfortably alongside furniture from the Henning Kjærnulf circle and the broader Danish craft tradition of the period. Original pleated ivory fabric shade included.
