Selection of Glass Rod Floor Lamps, by Hansen, American, circa 1940s. These lamps are probably based on a Jean Michel Frank design, see last photo for the Frank design. These thick glass rod lamps were a favourite choice of Samuel Marx and are used in many of his interiors. See second to last photo. The lamp pictured on the left measures 63" height to the top of the shade x 17" shade width. The lamp pictured on the right measures 57" height to the top of the shade x 17" shade width. The bases of each lamp measure 10" diameter. They have both been rewired.
