Series02 Floor Lamp, Polished Unlacquered Brass, Goatskin Parchment Shade

Solid machined polished unlacquered brass, handstitched goatskin parchment shade, with hand-dyed braided cotton cord. All material finishes are living finishes: they will change and patina for the better with time and use. Shades are made from genuine goatskin parchment, hand-selected for each lamp for its natural texture, pattern and color. Reminiscent of the lunar surface, its superior quality of light is unlike paper of any kind. Variations in pattern and texture are the be expected as each skin is unique. Shade construction is unlined, utilizing a single layer of parchment for optimal light transmission and may have a slight bow or curvature of the surface. This is a natural characteristic of the grain of the animal hide as well as the hand stretching and tanning process. Shade arm can be pivoted in any direction. Meticulously crafted with interlocking machined to fit components with a strong geometric presence.Individually hand assembled and stamped with a unique serial number. Slight variations in color, size and shape are to be expected. Recommended bulb “60 Watt equivalent G18-1/2 White” included, max 60 watt bulb. Overall size 55” H x 20.75” D x 16” W, shade 16" diameter bottom, 12" H, 3" diameter top.Polished unlacquered brass components can be rebrightened over time with Brasso if desired.
