A ‘Shogun’ Lamp by Swiss Architect Mario Botta for Artemide designed in 1986 as part of their Masters Collection. A true icon of design, the Shogun lamp is now on display at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. This floor lamp features a black cast iron base and powder coated stem with alternating black and white stripes. An adjustable perforated metal diffuser provides beautiful ambient lighting. Sourced in Brussels, 1980s. Condition: Great vintage condition. Very minor scuffs and a light patina to the metal base consistent with age and use. One area of wear along the stripes as shown in photos. The top has been repaired by our team of restorationists. This lamp was professionally inspected and has been rewired for U.S. use. Accepts one halogen standard base E-26 light bulb. Black cord with foot switch.
