Catellani & Smith's Light Stick floor lamp, designed by Enzo Catellani, is an exquisitely minimalist light fixture that, true to its name, resembles a glowing stick. Comprising a base and a slender, vertical stem, the lamp houses an integrated, dimmable LED light source that fills the room with gentle illumination, radiating surprisingly broadly despite its narrow form. The Light Stick series originated when Catellani began experimenting with the first LED circuits available on the market, aiming to create a lamp so simple that the focus would be entirely on the light itself. This nearly invisible design also marked a shift in Catellani's quite dramatic style, steering it toward a light and airy minimalism. Each Light Stick lamp is handcrafted in Italy.
