Each shade extends from the pole with 5 adjustable arms. Each shade pivots to direct the light and the switch allows controls of 2, 3 or all 5 lights as desired. The measurements given are for the lamp as positioned with the arms closed; the arms and pivoting heads are easily positioned as desired. Measures: Height is 74" High x 11 1/2" Diameter at the base.
